Behemoth (Job 40:15-24): The Description fits of a Dinosaur (Brachiosaurus)

(Job 40:15-24)

15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

16 Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.

17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

18 His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.
19 He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his
sword to approach [unto him].
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22 The shady trees cover him [with] their shadow; the willows of the brook
compass him about.
23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he
can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24 He taketh it with his eyes: [his] nose pierceth through snares.

Brachiosaurus (pronounced /ˌbrækɪ.ɵˈsɔrəs/), meaning "arm lizard", from the Greek brachion/βραχίων meaning "arm" and sauros/σαῦρος meaning "lizard", is a genus of sauropod dinosaurthat lived during the Late Jurassic Period and possibly the Early Cretaceous Period. It was named thus because its forelimbs were longer than its hind limbs. One of the largest animals known to have walked the earth, it has become one of the most famous of all dinosaurs and is recognized worldwide, but most frequently in the form of Giraffatitan, which was originally described as an African species of Brachiosaurus (B.brancai). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachiosaurus)

The entire description given in these verses fit certain types of dinosaurs very well. But we're going to zero in on one particular verse. It's in verse 17 it says, "He moveth his tail like a cedar:"

This verse alone should be enough to put the whole issue to rest as to whether or not God is describing a dinosaur to Job in this verse. Keep in mind, God is talking to Job about a living animal, that Job is familiar with. What land creatures do we know of today that have tails the size of a cedar tree? Before that question can be answered, it must first be determined how big a cedar tree is. We obtained information on this from two different sources.

First, we looked at what the Bible had to say about cedar trees to see if it would give us any clues as to how big the authors of the Bible thought they were. Second, we contacted the university of Arizona and asked them. The results of both inquires appear below.

How big does the Bible say cedar trees are?
Psalms 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon (would this verse make much sense if it were referring to a small or medium sized tree?)
Isaiah 2:13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, [that are] high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
Isaiah 37:24 By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars
Ezekiel 17:22 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of thehigh cedar, and will set [it]; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant [it] upon an high mountain and eminent:
Ezekiel 31:3 Behold, the Assyrian [was] a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.
Amos 2:9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height [was] like the height of the cedars, and he [was] strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

There is no question that the authors of the Bible considered cedar trees to be quite large. Some Christians who've tried to compromise with evolutionists have claimed that the verses describing Behemoth are describing a crocodile, hippopotamus or elephant. But those creatures don't have tails the size of a cedar tree. The only creatures known to us today that had tails as big as a cedar tree were the largest of the known dinosaurs.

GAME OVER: Quit or Play Again?

Each player must accept the cards life deals him: but once they are in hand, he or she alone must decide how to play the cards in order to win the game. When you want to win a game, you have to teach. When you lose a game, you have to learn. The man who has no problems is out of the game. GAME OVER: Do you want to Quit or Play Again?

"An advice for people today is as follows: if you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out."

Life is a game - play it.
Life is like a song - sing it.
Life is a challenge - meet it.
Life is a dream - realize it.
Life is a sacrifice - offer it.
Life is love - enjoy it.

Parable of The Talents

(Matthew 25: 13-30)

13 “Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour. 14 For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The one who had received five talents went off right away and put his money to work and gained five more. 17 In the same way, the one who had two gained two more. 18 But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it. 19 After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them. 20 The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Sir, you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’ 23 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 Then the one who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered, ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received my money back with interest! 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. 29 For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30 And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Lesson:

This parable tells us something the truth in the area of stewardship. To apply this in our Christian life, we should be steward on the things that were entrusted to us. In our Christian life, we should be a good care taker of what were entrusted to us by our God (The owner of what we have). God distributed his wealth for us to use, develop, and multiply. It was stated there regarding the 3 servants that were given talents. Some of them, multiplied their talents and the other one wasn't able to multiply the talent. The master told those who were able to multiply their talents "Good and faithful servant" and the other one who failed to use the talent was commented by the master "Evil and lazy slave."

As you can see, the two good stewards will be rewarded with increased responsibilities and the other one who hide the talent, his talent will be taken from him and be given to the other. For us to learn and change, it needs an attitude to know how to care and value what is given to us. God given us life, opportunities, knowledge, skills, and many things that we have now. Lets should not waste the things that were entrusted to us. Now, I would like to ask a simple question. How did you use your talents?

If you want to change:

It is not yet too late... Don't wait for tomorrow... Start it today...

God Bless!

Leonardo da Vinci

As an ordinary person, i really admire Leonardo da Vinci's art work. When I was a little boy he was one of my favorite painter. Even now, his masterwork is really an extra ordinary piece. I dreamed of a time that someday I can be like him. Someday, I hope that my masterwork will be also remembered.

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519) was an Italian polymathpaintersculptorarchitectmusicianscientistmathematicianengineer, inventoranatomistgeologistcartographerbotanist and a writer. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance man, a man whose unquenchable curiosity was equaled only by his powers of invention. He is widely considered to be one of the greatestpainters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.According to art historian Helen Gardner, the scope and depth of his interests were without precedent and "his mind and personality seem to us superhuman, the man himself mysterious and remote". Marco Rosci points out, however, that while there is much speculation about Leonardo, his vision of the world is essentially logical rather than mysterious, and that the empirical methods he employed were unusual for his time. Preach the Word

Word Filled Day

2 Timothy 4:1-8

"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly urge you: 2proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favourable or unfavourable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching. 3For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires, 4and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths.5As for you, always be sober, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry fully.
6 As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

Somebody - Depeche mode

I want somebody to share
Share the rest of my life
Share my innermost thoughts
Know my intimate details
Someone who'll stand by my side
And give me support
And in return
She'll get my support
She will listen to me
When I want to speak
About the world we live in
And life in general
Though my views may be wrong
They may even be perverted
She'll hear me out
And won't easily be converted
To my way of thinking
In fact she'll often disagree
But at the end of it all
She will understand me

I want somebody who cares
For me passionately
With every thought and with every breath
Someone who'll help me see things
In a different light
All the things I detest
I will almost like
I don't want to be tied
To anyone's strings
I'm carefully trying to steer clear
Of those things
But when I'm asleep
I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me
And kiss me tenderly
Though things like this
Make me sick
In a case like this
I'll get away with it.

Mystery and Victory

Hi! Today is Wednesday... My whole day experience was great. I felt so tired and worried about my muscle pains on my legs and my back at the flank region after my work for the youth month preparation in the area of decorations at BHCCCI (Blessed Hope Christian Community Church International). During that day, it was full of fun that I’ve learned new ideas on how to be an effective artist. It was a successful day with unexpected fulfillment that the task was accomplished. I felt joy and great victory throughout the day that leads me to share something for you that inspired me to be strong. You can read it below...

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, Knowing that in the Lord YOUR labor is not in vain."

Lesson 1

Being Steadfast
To be constant, fixed, consistent and regular in the area of commitment, love, time, and work...

Lesson 2

Being Immovable
To be always strong, courageous, patient, and in control in every task or experiences being thrown.

Lesson 3

Always abounding in the work of the Lord
To give more time for work for the Lord, to spend time with God, to be expectant in the task that to be given, and be full and prepared for the greater works ahead in the future.

To experience God, you need to be still. To experience Victory, you need to work. To experience fulfillment, you should know how to accept and thank God for everything He has done... God Bless to all of you guys... Thank you for visiting my page...

Paint Brushes: Are you an artist?

Today is Wednesday... Now, lets talk again about arts...There are many kinds of paintbrushes that are used for painting through applying ink or paint. These kinds of brushes are usually created by clamping the bristles to a handle with a ferrule. In every kind of brush it has its unique use and purpose. The short handled brushes are for watercolor or ink painting and the other long handled brushes are for oil or any acrylic paint

These are the kinds of paintbrushes:

File:Brushtypes.jpg

Round: This kind of brush is used for details.

Flat: This is used in spreading the paint quickly and it is used also to evenly spread over the surface.

Bright: This is a flat brush with short stiff bristles. It is good for driving paint into the weave of a canvas in commonly thinner paint applications, even also in any thicker painting designs like impasto.

FilbertThis is a flat brush with domed on its ends. It is used with good coverage and it is good to use with its ability to form details.

Fan: This is commonly used for blending any board areas of the paint.

Angle: This kind of brush is very versatile in its use and it can be used in both general painting and other detail work.

Mop: This kind of brush is large with an edge that is round for broad soft paint application and even for getting thinner glazes over other existing drying layers of paint without damaging any lower layers.

Rigger: This is a round brush with longish hairs. Usually, it is used for painting the rigging among images of ships. This is very useful in any fine lines and is very effective for both oils and watercolors.

There are many kinds of paintbrushes...these are just common kinds of brushes that are commonly used.

I hope you've learned things regarding my input for today...
