God is Great

Hello, an early morning for me today. I had a great time of searching the in net and looking for movies to download. I am more inspired to watch for Christian movies today. Well, it helps me to be more inspired and be still to serve the Lord. God is really great and wonderful. He knows what is best for us. I like His creativeness and art expression.

WFW: No One Knows That Day and Hour

43“But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
44“For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

I was reminded about the coming of Jesus Christ. We don't know what is ahead of us. We don't know when will be that time, where would that happen or how will it happen? This will serve as a great reminder that we should be prepared at all times. A very fulfilling word of the day.

Age You Marry vs "Baggage" You Carry

Does the age in which you wed determine the challenges in your marriage?

Psychology explains, that as we grow, we develop aspects of our personalities that help us gain inner strength. The virtues that you learn, or not learn at this age will affect how your personality develops.

Every seven years, from the time we are born, we go through stages of discovering who we are.

At age 18 to 21 years of age, you have a clear picture about yourself. It's when you don't properly develop all the qualities you need up to this point, that most people experience an "identity crisis."

By the time you reach 35 years of age, you might even experience a second identity crisis if the issues of your youth were not settled previously.

The ideal time to marry is around your late 20's onwards. This is when you've developed a strong sens of who you are and what your values are. And since you've explored the world, you are ready to welcome another person into your life.

This assumes that the person has truly reached a certain maturity level and the people entering into the marriage have tested each other's values to see if they match. More often than not, the relationship works because their love for each other is bigger than themselves.

Parable of The Talents

(Matthew 25: 13-30)

13 “Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour. 14 For it is like a man going on a journey, who summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The one who had received five talents went off right away and put his money to work and gained five more. 17 In the same way, the one who had two gained two more. 18 But the one who had received one talent went out and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money in it. 19 After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them. 20 The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Sir, you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’ 23 His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 Then the one who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered, ‘Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received my money back with interest! 28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten. 29 For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 30 And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Lesson:

This parable tells us something the truth in the area of stewardship. To apply this in our Christian life, we should be steward on the things that were entrusted to us. In our Christian life, we should be a good care taker of what were entrusted to us by our God (The owner of what we have). God distributed his wealth for us to use, develop, and multiply. It was stated there regarding the 3 servants that were given talents. Some of them, multiplied their talents and the other one wasn't able to multiply the talent. The master told those who were able to multiply their talents "Good and faithful servant" and the other one who failed to use the talent was commented by the master "Evil and lazy slave."

As you can see, the two good stewards will be rewarded with increased responsibilities and the other one who hide the talent, his talent will be taken from him and be given to the other. For us to learn and change, it needs an attitude to know how to care and value what is given to us. God given us life, opportunities, knowledge, skills, and many things that we have now. Lets should not waste the things that were entrusted to us. Now, I would like to ask a simple question. How did you use your talents?

If you want to change:

It is not yet too late... Don't wait for tomorrow... Start it today...

God Bless!
